It's that time of year again! After another 365 days of city building, we are back with our ninth annual UrbanToronto Year-End Readers' Poll. Brought to you this year by MEP DESIGN: Landscape Architects, the poll is your chance to vote on your favourite new buildings completed over the last 12 months.
We have listed 45 projects spread across the Greater Toronto Area for you to vote on as the best of 2022, with completions cooling down after last year's record breaking tally of 72. We only include projects if we have photographic confirmation of the building in a complete state, so a few projects that were completed in late 2021 but didn't have good photos at that time may appear in this year's list.
The candidates are grouped by height, so you can vote for your favourite in each of the following categories:
- 6 to 9 storeys
- 10 to 19 storeys
- 20 to 29 storeys
- 30 to 39 storeys
- 40 storeys and above
We have one image for each building, but if you want a more detailed look, just click on the link embedded in the name of the project and you will be taken to its Forum thread, where more photos can be found. From there, you can access the Database file at the top of the page, where you can find more statistics and the marketing renderings of the associated project.
Buildings are arranged throughout the poll generally from shortest to tallest. At the bottom of this article, you will find a link to the poll, but first, we'll take a quick look at this year's qualifying buildings by group to help you decide which ones will take home the crown!
