why does everyone hate things coming out on Fridays?? Honestly, if this stuff had come out on Wednesday afternoon, I'd have no time to look at it UNTIL Friday night/Saturday. I'm super-busy at work. I have to stay up into the wee hours just to catch up on this thread.

Huh. I read "avoid the scandal" as meaning not have that as one of the topics of the interview, with the aim of getting any kind of interview at all. Same way you promise a movie star not to ask about their messy divorce but only their new movie. The scandal was already out there, so it's not like CityCynthia was suppressing info. I'm not saying this is outstanding journalism but it seems pretty routine.

yeah, it might be a mistake to see that as some kind of "from the heart" statement. maybe just trying to get him to agree to an interview.

That Matt Galloway invu w/ Doug was reminiscent of the last great Galloway/Ford set-to where he unleashed the ferris wheels and monorails. My wife and I recalled, listening this morning, how gobsmacked we were at that one. This one was worse. Recall that the megamall, monorail cruise ship hotel-casino bluster basically sank the Ford Agenda. This one, IMHO, sunk Doug Ford. Metro Morning is the top early a.m. show in the market. Doug basically revealed, to more listeners than he imagines. that he's a total d-bag. Unfit for public consumption, let alone office.

Then the Jude MacDonald thing (which is absolutely necessary to, at the very least, bring attention to the toothlessness of COI policy and enforcement at CH. Courageous, too.) Then the Soks Drop. A skim through that reveals obliviousness on venality multiplied by stupidity to the power of entitlement.

Overall, it was a pretty good day.
