It might be worthwhile later today to see if Rob is forced to make an official announcement in support of the TPS in their efforts to get illegal drugs off the streets.

In fact he strongly supports taking illegal drugs off the streets and is doing all he can to help the TPS in this worthy endeavor!

BREAKING NEWS:

MASSIVE POLICE RAID LAUNCHED IN TORONTO

http://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2013/06/13/massive_police_raid_launched_in_toronto.html

It looks like Bill Blair is pulling out all the stops to get his hands on the video. You can guess the reasons why! The video is worth $200,000 to the alleged drug dealer who has possession of the video. The video is worth TEN TIMES as much to Bill Blair if he can make it disappear resulting in another 5 year extension of his contract!!!

UPDATE:

Heavy police presence at 320 Dixon Road - alleged location of the alleged crack video.

UPDATE:

From the Toronto SUN

UPDATE:

Another picture of police raid outside of 320 Dixon Rd. the Condo connected to the alleged Rob Ford Crack Cocaine video:

The massive Toronto Police operation is dubbed "Operation Traveler" . Could "Traveler" be a reference to the fact that the video owner told reporters he planned to travel to Alberta to start a new life? Could this be linked to the arrest of a Toronto man last week in Alberta in connection with the murder of Anthony Smith?

The plot thickens!

You got it wrong, there was no alleged raid. They're just lining up to use a washroom.

When asked about the raids Rob Ford claims the cable is out at his house so he's out of touch, knows nothing about it. As if the only way to know about things is via the TV. That may have been a good excuse 15 years ago...

This is from the Toronto Star's "live' coverage"

The Star's Tim Alamenciak reports: Police who arrested Munir Kassim also confiscated the cell phones of all of his immediate family members.

“They said they wanted the phones of anyone who had contact with Munir,”
said the woman who would only identify herself as Munir's mother.

Police used a battering ram to open their door around 5 a.m., leaving a crescent-moon crater on the door.

Obviously the Toronto Police are interested in more than just "guns and drugs".

Rob Ford's head is unique, the sweatshirt is not.

Well, presumably there are other such sweatshirts floating around in the world, unless Ford's is a custom-made one-off. But if someone were to go to the trouble of photoshopping Ford's face into the picture, they could either:

1. find someone with the exact same sweatshirt
2. photoshop the sweatshirt design onto a plain sweatshirt
3. just do the face and leave the sweatshirt a generic solid colour

Seems like #3 would be the easiest and simplest option.

jeez you guys - just because it's in the area that was related to the video, it doesn't mean it's about the video. It was clearly indicated that the raids are related to the gangs and their guns + drugs. Do you really think that in the midst of busting into apartments to seize weapons and drugs they're going through everyone's phones to check for videos?

Yes, when the possible motive for Anthony Smith's homicide is the video in question. It's a key piece of evidence in his murder.

If in fact it is found, the video would be a part of the trial to prosecute the case and would be shown in court.

"It's great work. I support the police 100%," says Mayor Ford

"I haven't talked to the chief. I understand there were some raids done on Dixon Road," says Rob Ford.

More interestingly:

"They can investigate me all they want. I don't do anything wrong," says Rob Ford of police.

Don't or didn't?

The fact that Robbie stated in his scrum to the media that no one from TPS briefed him on any of the raids could be very telling. Either they kept him in the dark purposely because of his alleged transgressions or they just did not bother notifying the mayor of a major police operation. Also noticed that he never gave eye contact to the any of the reporters while answering of their questions. Could be just a Ford thing.
