Back on topic: Joe Cressy was going to be my default candidate but I'm very glad that Anshul Kapoor has joined the race. It'll foster a healthy debate about ward 20 and in the end, I think we'll end up with an excellent councillor. Adam Vaughan was a great urbanist with the right ideas and direction for ward 20 but I didn't like his iron fist and lack of personality. Either Cressy or Kapoor will be an improvement I think.

Cusimano is a Ford acolyte, but Augimeri's let fly one too many times about him.

They should settle Hamilton v Burr-style. Local park, dawn, back to back, ten paces forward, turn, fire. With Super Soakers, obviously.

Maria Augimeri is a weak councillor and a career politician. But she still votes the right way most of the time. She's been decent as interim TTC chair. Out of a crappy field in Ward 9, I hope she wins.

Danny Q may not be the perfect one to lead Ward 9 out of the wilderness in the long run however after 29+ years with Augimeri isn't it time 9'ers get a Councillor with a new outlook.
Yes, Augimeri has been OK as placeholder TTC Chair, there hasn't been anything of consequence(except the proposals last week) come up to show show her mettle and there still is the Sunrise explosion legacy she has to deal with....

You're mixing Wards, if you don't mind me saying...Ward 1 incumbent is Crisanti the alterantive there is Idil Burale
The ward you are thinking of is Ward 9 where Augimeri is the incumbent (by the skin of her teeth) and Cusimano is back fir another go round....You should be seriously considering Danny Q for that ward as I have stated to others (see further up the thread for his website post #562)

I don't think they are. The guy who complained about her to the integrity commissioner is trying to get back money he spent on lawyers. Why he consulted lawyers over an IC complaint is a mystery to me.
