Toronto was whipped by wind and water two days ago, causing localized floods, downed lines, and power outages here and there across the city. Captured by UrbanToronto Forum contributor rdaner on another rainy day a few weeks before July 16th's weather, the water in this case is more benign, here providing reflections of the iridescent Evanescent, a temporary art installation by Atelier Sisu, part of this year's Luminato festival. Captured below at Arnell Plaza at the Bay Adeliade Centre, if you want to see it in person, the installation will be somewhere within a block of King and Bay until the end of July… and then as embodied in its name Evanescent — the quality of being fleeting or vanishing quickly — the iridescent art installation will be gone!
