What's the future for the Conservative Party?

Erin O’Toole and other Conservative MPs in damage control right now. This was so predictable and really shows how out of touch and inept the Conservative party is right now. Tying yourself to a movement full of conspiracy theories, hate, and “just a bit” of racism is such bizarre political strategy.

To be fair, a fair number of them actually bought that s**t. You sleep in the bed you made.

And then you have Pierre Poilievre, somehow a rising star in that party, supporting these kooks. O’Toole isn’t looking pretty trying to find that middle path trying to appease everyone.

Yes, it is amazing that Polievre has been resurrected. He is a very devisive figure and probably closer to the Mad Max group than is wise for what was once a serious Party to allow in a prominent role.

Time to clean house for their own good if they ever hope to be serious party again. Whatever support they think they can find with the fringe will evaporate soon enough once the dinner bell sounds. God, you'd think educated people in this party could figure this out.

I am starting to wonder how many of those left ARE educated!

LOL. This could be a fun week,

The letter, sent to caucus chair Scott Reid on Monday, would require a leadership-review vote by Conservative MPs as early as Wednesday’s regular caucus meeting. If more than 50 per cent of caucus voted against him, Mr. O’Toole would have to step down immediately.
MPs would then have to elect an interim caucus leader while the Conservative Party calls a leadership race. Two sources said at least 63 of the elected 119 Conservative MPs are willing to vote against Mr. O’Toole.
