"For seven seconds of voicemail I have to listen to two full minutes of idiot? Great..."

Video is now private...

Whoa! Does that mean that the new subways won't open for decades? For anyone over 40, subways subways subways won't be available until retirement retirement retirement. Bicycles may be the new necessity. And for that I'll be called a communist. Sheesh.

the Scarborough subway extension from Kennedy Station to the Scarborough City Centre. It would take until 2023 to open those three stops.

eta...

Soknacki issued an analysis in February — which Ford hasn’t challenged — concluding that Toronto’s debt would have to double to $7 billion by 2022 to build Finch and Sheppard subways. The analysis didn’t include the minimum $7 billion downtown relief line.

It costs about $400 million to build a kilometre of subway, he said.

Because Ford didn’t include a price tag, Soknacki took a look and concluded property taxes would have to rise beyond the 1.6 per cent already needed until 2044 to pay for the Scarborough subway extension.

Even assuming generous funding from federal and provincial governments, the city would have to borrow for its share, doubling debt repayment costs, the analysis says.

This year, debt payment represents $294 or 11 per cent of the average residential tax bill and Soknacki says that could go to $650 a year to pay for Finch and Sheppard subways — more if the downtown relief line is added.

High or not, drunk or not, the mayor calling constituents at 2 am (if that's true) is not normal. Period. In fact, it's frightening.

but as i believe some have already said... his supporters see that as hardworking... that he has to call people that late or he wouldn't be able to call everybody back... we should be happy he works so hard for us... 18 - 25 hours a day!

OK, 9 years wait for 3 more stops in Scarborough.

$7 billion for the downtown relief line. Is it good cuz it serves suburban dwellers going to work? Or bad cuz downlown eh-leets may be using it as well?

Has anyone ever tried catching a train downtown in morning rush-hour at St George station or anywhere south of that?
Can't get into the sardine can? I didn't think so.

is this from last night? and where are they?

I think it was last night at the Lakeshore Mardi Gras. The guy in the yellow T-shirt looks familiar. Note the fridge magnets. :)
