Either Robbie's staff are incompetent, his hangover was too great, they couldn't find him, or there is no political advantage to going to the neighborhood.

it's definitely not that "there is no political advantage to going to the neighborhood."

Thorncliffe Park is a busy, bustling neighbourhood of some 30,000 residents. It has higher-than-average rates of unemployment, poverty and recent immigrants — and one of the best voter turnout rates in the city.

The points are there but since the area feels disenfranchised with politicians, especially the present administration, it is still possible.

My google fu is currently limited but looks like a bodyguard. There were some recent posts from security firms about Ford fest.

so with leeanne's court date tomorrow, i was just poking around a bit to see if i could find anything about it. instead, i found myself trying to find other instances of fournier and rombis working together, but can't. they seem to only come up together when it's about mcrobb.

a few days ago this thread talked about fournier being rob's friend, etc. well... guess what i found on rombis. (and don't think we knew this before, but with all the stories and names to remember, i could be wrong.)

Scam let convicted drivers off hook

Drivers with serious convictions, some in danger of being suspended, could go to either of brothers Giuseppe "Joe" or Nicolino "Nick" Allesandro and get it fixed.

[...]

Drivers didn't have to attend court personally. Sometimes a paralegal would plead them guilty to a lesser offence, resulting in a conviction that could then be appealed.

http://www.thestar.com/news/2007/03/10/scam_let_convicted_drivers_off_hook.html

Nic Alessandro asked for an adjournment of the hearing and it was denied. The appeal was allowed on that basis only. At the new hearing, he was represented by counsel who again asked for another adjournment. That request was denied and again his bid to be licensed was denied. Nic(olino) and his brother Giovanni (Joe) Alessandro were convicted of criminal offences based on the way that they conducted their practice before licensing. For a fee of about $4,000 they guranteed people that they could get their convictions off of their driving records. In order to accomplish what they promised they forget court documents and sent them to the Ministry of Transportation. They were eventually caught, tried and convicted. If they had actually passed the good charatcer test most of us would have been shocked.

and who do they have a connection to?

“Joe is very thorough in his work. Feb. 2004 offence involved a bad business partner (Tom Gambino).”

is that gambino part of the gambino family?

eta: some alessandros (same family?) have taken each other to court over a house that's about a 5 min drive away from rob's house.

This action involves a dispute between a daughter and her mother. It concerns a mortgage that was previously registered against title to a property located at 23 Eden Valley Drive, Toronto (the “Property”). On September 30, 1988, the father of the plaintiff Joe Alessandro (“Joe”), who was also the husband of the defendant, purchased the Property, in trust for the plaintiff. On September 18, 1996, Joe transferred the Property to the plaintiff as beneficial owner for no consideration.
