Former President Donald Trump's United States of America

I don't see anything changing in any significant way, if for no other reason than the med/pharma lobby is too powerful. Couple that with a widespread distrust of government. If anything, it might start small at a state-level. Anything tried by the federal government will always run into their Constitution.

If murdering 28 elementary school students doesn't provoke a national soul searching, I'm not sure what will.
I just don‘t understand Americans. They look like, mostly sound like us..... but.

Americans are much more individualistic than Canadians in general.

Note that the United States has life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Canada has peace, order, and good government.
True. We also never had slavery, though we were part of the Empire’s slave-based economy.

But still, that’s a major difference between Canada and the USA, in that every person or their parents or grandparents of colour in Canada calling out injustice or for societal changes voluntarily came here. You picked Canada, but I wonder if they did their research or if the picture and immigrant pitch Canada gives to the world was/is intentionally inaccurate.

Generally speaking, Europe did not have much slavery (unless they were brought in) after the Roman Empire (serfdom evolved from that, however). Their colonies did however. Europe itself did not have laws for or against slavery, which was the problem. There was "talk" in the 18th century to abolish slavery by having it written down, which is why the southern colonies in America "rebelled" because of its dependency on slavery. They didn't want Europe to dictate the laws upon the colonies, or states.

After anti-slavery was written down in law in Europe and after the American Civil War, the "talk" shifted to women and their rights.

The US became an independent nation by revolution; we became an independent nation, incrementally, by asking nicely. The whole premise of their Constitution, along with the Federalist Papers, which have often been used as 'background documents' in the interpretation of the Constitution, almost puts the government and 'the people' in an adversarial relationship, that the government is something that needs to be controlled, by violence if necessary.

Trump said the supporters shown in the video were "great people."

President Donald Trump promoted a video on Twitter Sunday morning showing a man in a golf cart with Trump campaign gear shouting "white power."

The video, which Trump said was from the Florida retirement community known as The Villages, featured a parade of golf carts, some with pro-Trump signs, driving past anti-Trump protesters who were shouting curses at them. The man who is heard shouting "white power" was responding to protesters shouting "racist."

The "current" Mississippi flag...

Likely it was a "revenge" flag.

Similar to the "revenge" flag that Ontario and Manitoba got when Canada got it's Maple Leaf flag. See link.

Trump has repeatedly claimed he’s “the least racist person.” His history suggests otherwise.
