Former President Donald Trump's United States of America

How long will it take the US to rid themselves of the stink Trump left?
Trump's stench will last indefinitely. After all, those who died from his policies, including his hare-brained COVID-19 policies, aren't coming back.

After all, though the Confederate States lost the American Civil War, they still linger today with the alt-right movement.

Though Schoolhouse Rock made a series of mini-episodes about American history, there are no mini-episodes specifically about the American Civil War.

Lets be 100% clear that there are many thoughtful and progressive Americans.

That's my preface for this............

Which'd matter more if one views FB link traffic in the same barometric-cultural-benchmark way we used to look at TV and radio ratings, box office figures, Billboard charts, etc. But we don't--what's "top-performing" on FB has no bearing on what we, ourselves, individually seek out or are subject to. The data is external to us. (Or if it's more subliminally concerning, it's in the same way that Fox News has a bigger raw "hold" on Middle America than more so-called "lamestream" media outlets. But it's still "external", in the same way that the art of Thomas Kinkade or Jon McNaughton is "external" to the concerns of art critics.)

Meh...a half-hearted back track by Trump on his face mask policy. Frankly, the majority of anti-maskers in the US are too far gone anyways.

US President Donald Trump, long opposed to wearing a face covering in public, says he is "all for masks" and they make him look like the Lone Ranger.

Mr Trump also maintained that face coverings do not need to become mandatory to curb Covid-19's spread.

He again predicted the infection would "disappear," as the US hit a new record high of 52,000 virus cases in a day.

His remarks to Fox News come a day after a top Republican called on Mr Trump to wear a mask as an example.

Trump is probably only saying that for good publicity. Very likely will he make another public appearance without wearing a face mask.

He's just continuing to play to his idiotic base - hopefully an increasingly shrinking one, but never underestimate the size and power of the stupid demographic!

An interesting piece from a Buffalo website lamenting the absence of Canada due to the closed border.

And watch, even after 4 years of the most disastrous administration in living memory, Americans will still re-elect the inmate running the asylum.
