Even after the mall was completed, before Covid, there was little foot traffic. After Covid arrived, their sales dropped considerably and they closed the outlet. Their claim of $10,000. weekly sales is ludicrous. They were lucky to do $500. on a good day. Leases from Riocan were for 10 years. I would audit their sales records before I gave them any money. I think $50,000. would more than cover their limited equipment and "goodwill", not $149,000.
Tacoritto's 436 sq. ft. are also for sale and they claim a ridiculous $14,000. per week in sales. It's closer to $3,000. or less. The food court is empty at lunch time; no office workers or students. The seating area is closed off. Before Covid, you couldn't find a seat. Most of the units in the food court and those fronting Yonge at street level are for sale.
