Scarborough Waterfront Project (?, ?, TRCA)

Wow, as someone who has spent most of my life in The Beach and The Bluffs, I too am excited to see this moving forward.

Attached is from one of the original plans (I'm guessing it has not been posted elsewhere).

I understand it may be more appropriate to post here,

but thought those of you who follow this thread may get a kick out of it.

Unfortunately I tossed it out a few years ago, but not before I took some photos of the section more applicable to where I currently live.

I wonder why they're only considering to silver birch? That would still leave a gap in the trail, as MGT stops being paved behind Balmy Beach Club, and transitions to a horrific hard plastic square surface that is unwalkable when wet, and then transitions to dirt before getting to Silver Birch.

3M is this year. 7M is each year there after for the next 9 years.

The 3M this year should be detailed design, and the budget should be re-written next year to reflect actual construction timelines.

The City of Toronto sent an e-blast this morning saying the notice of commencement has been issued given the Province approved the EA terms of reference. You can go to the project website to sign up for updates including any public consultations that come up. It's possible a separate thread for the Scarborough Bluffs West project may be needed in the future.
