Is it possible that Ford's pedophile remarks were deliberate attempts to deflect the public chatter away from crack, gangs, Lisi, ITOs, Brazen, Traveller, escorts, sex, etc?

The DDale issue was totally dormant until Monday night, as I recall, and now it's the dominant story. It plays into Rob's whole persecution complex and how he's a "protector" (of his children, the taxpayer and yadda).

To relate it to the Peepers thing, there is no open debate, certainly not when some parties choose not to engage honestly, nor does every forum seek to be the place for debate. Maybe some seek community or common interest. If people seek to divert conversation with the kind of outright lying seen above, then forum owners have the right to squash it. Just like the tolerance for the Ford brothers' brand of dishonesty and bullying should come to an end if we're ever going to regain any faith in our political bodies, maybe similar tactics from their supporters need to be restricted to their own shit strewn backwater bogs.

Anyone who supports Ford is deemed a troll on here simply by virtue of supporting Ford. This is why several anti-Ford posters have used insults, derogatory language (specifically when it comes to mental illness/handicaps), insane comparisons (Ford=Hitler), vitriolic opinions (Ford should be killed) and completely unsubstantiated gossip (Ford is conducting a child sex ring) and conspiracy theories (Peepers is Joe Warmington) without consequence.

I'm pretty sure I called this less than a week ago.

Peepers - The reason people on here bristle at differing opinions is because, by-and-large, the users on Urban Toronto don't want to discuss these issues on any level. It took me a while to figure it out, but this thread essentially is supposed to be an echo chamber. Most of the posters here want an echo chamber. Its for (a) getting updates from MetroMan and (b) gossip/jokes/unsubstantiated rumors.

That's why if you do try to actually discuss an issue, it will be ignored by the vast majority of users on here. I don't know about your experience, but I realized after a while that every time I posted something sensible, it would be ignored, whereas if I posted an attack on someone else or defense of my character, it would be responded to by user after user. This thread actively discourages discussing issues of any kind. I think you'll see that you get a much better batting ratio in terms of response from posting unintelligent and/or abrasive comments, which is why I eventually ceased posting. It came to the point where I was just arguing with people, and it will come to that point for you too.

This is also why anyone who disagrees with the general consensus is (a) a troll, (b) a covert operative (in my case, I was David Price, but you're supposedly Joe Warmington), and (c) a despicable bad person. Literally the exact same stuff was said about me. There's a large contingent on here that actually tries to shut down not just dissenting opinion but any interesting discussion whatsoever, and I think you've probably realized that there are a lot of people here that would rather gossip about whether Ford is the mastermind behind an underage sex ring than actually discuss policy-related issues of any kind.

Unfortunately, I really don't know what is a good place to discuss these issues, but its not here. Honestly, as sad as it sounds, Reddit has more people that are open to actually discussing these issues in-depth and with differing viewpoints.

I don't think I've avoided or ignored any points before. The thing is, every time I posted here, there would be multiple responses to me, so I had to be selective. If I responded to every thing, my posts would be even more long-winded and I would waste all my time. Not to mention that a lot of the time I will address something, only for it to come up a couple weeks later again (such as this bag "tax" stuff), so I'm obviously not going to respond to it again. I specifically addressed the stuff about Ford being honest not long ago - I think he has been dishonest about his personal issues, but incredibly honest and transparent about his political opinions and decisions in office - and if you look in my posts from a week ago, you'll see this response. I've also tried to directly respond to the instances where I'm proven wrong, and I've done that multiple times. There's definitely a bit of "damned if you do, damned if you don't" thing going on here for pro-Ford posters, and I don't know if its possible to not come across as a troll to some people here.

Anyway, at this point, I'm talking more about myself than I am about anything else. Like I said, I like discussing politics and I'm not doing that. Peace out!

So you have the gall to tell everyone this is the last thing you will say on the board back on October 13, come back and claim that you will be banned for saying what you did and in the meantime having the opportunity and time to follow through the zillions of responses zipping through this rather longwinded thread and found out exactly the postings you wanted to break your vow of silence? Dale's lawyer said on CP24 that when she showed up at the mayor's office to deliver the libel documents she was asked to leave her cellphone outside and sign a paper declaring that she doesn't have any recording devices on her.

That's a pretty sad statement about our mayor's office. Can this please end soon? Please! I want to have children in future....but not in this madhouse.

I'd love to see those two show up at one of my job sites and try their man-of-the-people bullshit on me and my coworkers. They wouldn't only get laughed at but also cussed into oblivion.
