I'm betting that the OPP were overseeing this whole mess. Chief Blair is no fool, he knew what could happen.
However, Ford isn't a defendant (yet) and at this point is refusing to cooperate in an investigation. Big difference in terms of optics.In fairness... Lawyers represent their clients interests. I'm just saying that advice " don't not talk to the police" isn't bad or nefarious. It's standard legal advice.
