MTR at 130 km/h? No wonder we were faster than the highway traffic when I was riding it back in May. Wish the TTC subways had that capability. It would certainly shorten my 45 minute commute time downtown! Can't wait to see what similarity the TRs will have with the MTR trains, seeing that...

RBC Centre (LEED Gold, CadFair, 41s, KPF/B+H/&Co.) COMPLETE

I should really quit going to HK in November (though they already had tons of Xmas lights already up along the streets), but rather go in December as I've missed those Xmas light decorations on the towers every year the past 4 years! Back to RBC, unfortunately, I have a strong feeling that...

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

I foresee traffic chaos into the downtown core from the east and northeast as the cars funnelling down from the DVP will end up hitting a logjam of vehicles stuck behind traffic lights on the new Lakeshore Blvd. It will also bring more traffic onto Richmond. Same with the commute going...

    Toronto Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto | 207.86m | 53s | Graywood | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Btw, what's with this requirement that all new residential condos be built with balconies? I never realized there was such a thing. It sounds like quite a ridiculous requirement to me.

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

Good point. And, yep, out of the 3 major NYC airports, LGA is definitely not an option with the planned set up.

Will there be US customs pre-clearance facilities and Canada customs facilities? It would be hard to imagine starting up a YTZ-EWR service without those facilities in place. Without US customs pre-clearance, it will be very inconvenient to have to land at Newark (or any other US destination)...

    Museum Station

LOL ... it's okay for me, as I only look out towards the platform side anyways to determine what station I'm at if I didn't already know.

Hyatt Regency Toronto Airport (Regal Constellation site)

The only times I've ever set foot in the Regal Constellation was to have lunch. Though, I have driven by it many times.

Exactly. Like the ETA for the next train.

    Pearson T1 - Pier F

AC should go back to their red and white livery from the 70's and 80's.

    Pearson T1 - Pier F

Nice pics! I assume you were flying out to HKG on one of AC's 777-200LRs? Never been to Hammerhead F in person yet, only Pier F where United Airlines' flights depart out of. Though, I've looked through the glass at the end of the Pier into the Hammerhead many times.

No worries, Toronto will never get to the point of becoming another Hong Kong within this century even if it tried. Toronto's climate, population, public transit, NIMBYism, surban-mentality and the slower rate of project development serve as huge hinderances in comparison.

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

Ask Investor. Apparently, he has no clue what a 'real' ghetto is. And I mean the ones where stopping at a red light can potentially be a risk to your livelihood.

They're gonna have to do something about that bottleneck on the Consilium ramp up to McCowan. Leaving work to get on the 401 Westbound is gonna be a nightmare!

Nice pics! Too bad I missed it cuzz I was too lazy to walk out my front door. Maybe next year!

    Pearson T1 - Pier F

I don't see the point either. At most it will only shave a couple of minutes travel time. The distance from the main terminal to Hammerhead F isn't nearly as long as alot of airport piers around the world anyways, some of which are so long, a train/ppl mover is required to move ppl.
