The Greater Toronto Area’s top builders, designers, and developers gathered last night at Vaughan’s Universal EventSpace for the 45th annual BILD Awards gala. With over 900 industry professionals in attendance, the evening honoured architecture, community building, marketing, sales, and customer care across the region’s new home sector. In addition, the Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Howard Sokolowski, recognized for his decades-long leadership and influence in shaping the GTA’s residential landscape.
Here is a look at the winners and finalists across the Project and Builder Awards:
Project of the Year – Mid/High-Rise: One Roxborough West
One Roxborough West is designed by Reflect Architecture for North Drive Investments Inc. It will rise 12 storeys at the southwest corner of Yonge Street and Roxborough Street West in Summerhill. The mixed-use condominium brings 24 residences to a high-profile corner, and is currently under construction.

Project of the Year – Low-Rise: OAKPOINTE
A joint development by Arista Homes and Great Gulf, OAKPOINTE is located on the north side of Dundas Street East and east of Eighth Line in Uptown Oakville. The community plan will introduce a mix of built forms, ranging from traditional, rear-lane, multi-unit and live-work townhouses as well as single detached units to medium-density mixed-use blocks.

People’s Choice Award: Exhale Residences
Voted on by the public, the People’s Choice Award went to Exhale Residences, an 11-storey boutique condominium developed by Brixen Developments and designed by Architecture Unfolded. Set along Mississauga’s fast-developing Lakeshore East corridor, the 284-unit project will offer immediate access to the urban waterfront.

Best Purpose-Built Rental Project: The Bakerfield II
The Bakerfield II, a rental community by The Rose Corporation, is contributing to the rental housing supply in Newmarket. Designed by RAW Design with investment from BGO, the 10-storey building was opened earlier this year.

- Uniti – The Daniels Corporation & Choice Properties REIT
Best Community – Built: Elm – Ledbury
Elm – Ledbury, a pair of mixed-use rental towers by Fitzrovia Real Estate Inc., are rising to 27 and 28 storeys, fronting onto Mutual and Dalhousie streets in Downtown Toronto. The 542-unit development is designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects and Turner Fleischer Architects.

- Reunion Crossing – Condos & Urban Towns – Diamond Kilmer Developments
Best New Community – Planned/Under Development: Caledon Station
Envisioned by Argo Developments (under Caledon Community Partners), Caledon Station is a masterplanned, mixed-use community located in the Macville–Glasgow area of Bolton. The greenfield project spans lands north of King Street and is designed by Gerrard Design Associates.
