By the shores of Bronte Harbour in Oakville, Alliance United Corporation is launching The Residences at Bronte Lakeside, a luxury boutique condominium filled with an abundance of amenities and featuring private rooftop terraces that will overlook Lake Ontario. Designed by IBI Group, the neo-modern style, 203-suite condo is set to rise six storeys, while offering a slew of sustainability features, making it one of the most advanced green projects in Oakville.

One of Bronte Lakeside's distinguishing features is the green technology that will regulate its temperature with the use of TRAK International's Green Energy Resources’ Smart Energy System, a design that combines several advanced heating, cooling and ventilation technologies. One of those is a GeoExchange system, which will use the temperature of the Earth to heat the building on cold days and to cool the building on hot days, allowing for simultaneous heating or cooling in any season without reliance on fossil fuels.
Geo-exchange works through pipes that will be set about 140 metres into the ground below the building, with an environmentally safe fluid running through the underground loop that cycles into and out of the building by way of a bank of heat pumps, heating or cooling the building. While Geo-exchange is great for the environment, it will also guarantee residents a standard monthly bill, rather than receiving a different rate every month depending on the building's fuel usage, such as with gas.

The building will also boast its own independent on-site power generation system; making it self sufficient, and able to operate even during incidental events such as ice storms or grid power blackouts. Residents of Bronte Lakeside will be able to rest assured knowing that they will never be without power!
In an effort to make the building use as little gas, electricity, and water as possible, there are many other forms of sustainable green technology that will be used throughout the building. Pre-wired individual electric car charging stations will be installed in the underground garage for residents who drive electric vehicles, and LED lighting rather than traditional lightbulbs will be used in all suites.

Low-E Argon windows will also conserve energy by reducing the amount of the sun's heat that is let into units, while appliances will exclusively be Energy Star rated.
Tri-Sorter garbage collectors will reduce the amount of garbage produced by sorting waste into trash, recyclables, and compostables, while dual-flush, low-flow, water-saving toilets will be used to do just that.
Finally, snow melt features that minimize salt use on the access ramp and outdoor amenity areas will be installed in order to minimize the amount of salt that finds its way into our water systems.

To create a seamless living experience, the Residences at Bronte Lakeside will feature SmartOne advanced home automation technology, which will provide residents with a master control for in-suite and community functions, by way of a voice and touch-enabled digital wall pad in each suite. Residents can make sure that their suite is safe at all times by using the technology to program a digital lock for their front door with multiple access codes, monitor their home security system remotely, control the lights in their suite, communicate with visitors and allow them access, and more.
Also in the name of safety, a license plate recognition system will automatically grant access to the parking garage for residents’ vehicles.
The Residences at Bronte Lakeside are expected to be completed sometime in 2025.
