U of T: New Varsity Stadium (Diamond + Schmitt)

The columns are a green now, not the red primer. There is sandblasting going on to the east and I guess it for removing the primer on the columns to be painted with the new green paint.

The view of the city from here is nothing special anyway.
U of T should be congratulated for adding some interest to this stretch of Bloor (winter dome aside). Opening up the stadium with the two corner public spaces is very generous, when you think they could have left the old brick wall in place. Having the corner viewing platform elevated above the field is fantastic. Also enjoyed by boards & bikes. This project is an odd one, but seems to be shaped by a curious strip of site.
 
It also seems like some preliminary site prep is going on across the street. Could this be the beginnings of the future Varsity Centre?

This is just the site office for the little south building.


Will it also take over this adjacent parking lot?

The Goldring centre will I believe.

Columns painted in Green Paint? Surely it should be BLUE?

How Blue will the new building be?
