Well I'm not going to lie to you, last night's episode was really good!
It was the first episode in a long time that left an impact and actually felt like the intensity is rising. Although I did see the ending coming a month ago, it was great that the Hiro/Kensie storyline is wrapped up and in its second act.
The show had a great feel of cohesion to it, as all the main characters in NYC were acting together. Loved the Nikki/Peter interaction and the latest development that Nikki injected herself with the mutated version of the virus. I'm not convinced she did this on her own free will or if Maury's intervention prompted her to do it to herself and not Bob. I don't think she wanted to save Bob's life so this could be Maury (and by extensions, Adam's) means of unleashing the virus and starting the future that Caitlin is now trapped in. Now there is a sentence that I never thought I'd write.
In sum, Suresh's moral superiority needs to be more sublte. I mean, I get it, he's good and Bob is so-so. But come 'on writers, I know you were gearing up to go on strike but was it necissary for Suresh to be so overt when stating his moral issues with going of HRG? But it seems as if it is a foregone conclusion now that 4 of the paintings have already come true (Nikki banging on the glass, the holding of the viel, and Hiro v Kensie, not to mention Sulu dying). The 5th painting shows a broken nosed Suresh pointing a gun, look out Noah! Although I don't think this one will come to past.
West is a freak. Need I say more?
Claire had the best line of the night, "shut up Lyle." Good for Lyle for coming back this episode for that abuse. What a bad actor.
In the future, Peter gets some of his mommy memories back, in part due to his ability to read his mother's memories. That would explain why he only remembered things about her (he read her mind) and not Adam or anything else. I wonder if the ratings would have been higher is they had extended the Peter being scrubbed down scene by 30 minutes?
In the past, Kensie's legacy will live on but it was Hiro's doing. Hiro was unable to turn Kensie from the dark side and Kensie's last words were something along the lines of "as long as I'm breathing I'll take away everything you love." Flashforward 400 years and Kensie does just that, take's away Hiro's dad. Is Kensie's end game to kill the whole human race? I don't know but I want to know. I want to know all there is to know about the elders, Kensie's end game and all that is. This storyline rocks!
Next week we find out what happened 4 months ago. But Kristen Bell reprises her hot role as Elle and somehow the show runners will find another way to take Peter's clothes off.
