Toronto YC Condos -- Yonge at College | 198.42m | 62s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

On another note, did they manage to re-open Yonge? This project managed to - in chronological order - eat into the sidewalk, then kicked the sidewalk on to the street, then closed up half the moved sidewalk on the street - and then the coup de grace is causing Yonge to turn into a one lane (!) roadway at rush hour this morning with a cop directing the traffic.

The irony being that when it's all done, we'll have a sidewalk that's between 4 and 10 feet wider than it was before. No pain no gain? What do they do differently in New York that keeps the street open? Sidewalks that are already wider?

Always exciting to see an established intersection transformed by a massive project, this will become an incredible high-rise corridor in the near future. Though it doesn't appear that the sidewalks have been dramatically widened, the ground floor ceilings are epically high.
