....but outside the few exceptions, developers here don't want pride...as it doesn't make them money. Or so they claim. Either way, if they are allowed to do so, this crap will continue to be built within our city.

Not only do they (or in this case Canderel) profit from it, they also win awards:

It's a strange low quality structure altogether. From up-close, the stone blocks that comprise its facade combine for a really rough and highly noticeable uneven surface.
