I'm really hoping that it is really brick that will come on the façade here, but it makes me wonder whether "precast brick panels" will be used instead given the anchors that are casted into the concrete as seen in the photos of the southwest corner of the tower ... holding my breath on this one to keep my hopes up

Either way... still better than a greengreyblue glass box. I'd be elated to see more buildings have precast like 88 Scott or (potentially) the Selby.

According to the SPA docs, it will be clad in brick embedded in precast panels. I believe that pretty much all high rises with brick cladding (such as PJ Condos) are using a similar system as it's just not practical to try to lay brick the traditional way on tall buildings.

Many are excited about The Selby. The colour might look great, but it could be a disaster. I hope for the best.

It's a design element of the building - from the Architectural Plans in Dev App:

Sorry, a little out of focus but gives a better impression of the colour than the last photo which suffers from some glare with the shiny brick.
