Toronto skyline

Do ya'll think we can catch up to New York? Or at least Chicago?

I think Toronto is already very close to Chicago. The only thing that sets apart Chicago is the supertalls, but Toronto's skyline is just as dense and more spread out. It's just my opinion, but you add a couple of supertalls to Toronto and you've got the same skyline, maybe better.

Chicago's skyline will always look better with its deco masterpieces. Toronto basically has nothing from that period that is of comparable size. I wish we had had a massive building boom between the 20s and 40s, instead of the 60s.

Chicago will always have the older art deco buildings, but I like Toronto's balance of office towers and residential towers. I find Chicago has just too much of the skyline as office towers, and its skyline is not spread out the same as it is in Toronto. I love Toronto's density and large area the skyline takes up.

It will be impressive too, how the skyline continues to expand both east and west as more development is underway in the East Bayfront, the 1 Yonge site and others. Toronto certainly one-ups, or will soon one-up Chicago when taken those criteria into regard.

Not even mentioning how Toronto's skyline also is growing to the north as well. Though this isn't seen from the vantage point of the lake.

Garbage quality at its finest, granted I was in a Megabus. It's not too often you can see the skyline as clear as it was yesterday (Sat/14th) from the Burlington Skyway through Grimsby and St. Catharines.
