I remember saying the same thing about the Lower Portion of AURA some time back when everyone seemed disappointed with the building.
 
I recommend watching that on 1080p 60 frames per second, and changing YouTube's speed setting to 0.5 for maximum awesome factor.
 
An Apple Store makes more sense in The One than at 1BE -- as the article above points out, The One is designed without any interior columns, which is far more in keeping with Apple's design aesthetic.
 
To answer my own question, it looks like the 64 storey tower planned by Great Gulf may actually be 8 Cumberland... did not know that Great Gulf was connected with that project.... thx to Dwils01 and urbandreamer over at SSP....
