I drove by a week ago and was suitably impressed by the choice of brick for the podium. Not only is it "brick" brick... but I suspect it is what is commonly called "antique" brick .... an excuse to charge more for chipped and distressed brick that meshes well with older neighbourhoods... but actually does look better.... looks lived in.

The Esplanade/Yonge mini-canyon is already becoming rather overwhelming (even before L Tower and GO).
