When it was under construction, someone noticed that there is LED lighting on the bottom. However, this LED lighting has not made an appearance. Anyone know anything about this?

They probably haven't completed that yet it's probably something that will be tied in well they rebuild the entrance underneath it on ground level.

I guess when you've got the mayor booked in and Black Friday is approaching, you 'finish' the bridge even when it isn't quite finished. You can always nip back in later with your toolbox to finish of the lighting, or that bit of glass that some genius managed to crack on the last day of construction and so on.

The original press release was “summer”, but I haven’t heard a revised date. A construction worker died on-site in September which probably delayed work for a while.

I actually really like that big blank Uniqlo wall. Its such a simple and effective way to convey what the store has going for it. Do wish the lighting was a tad less orange at night, though. It's the place for big bright LEDs, (like a red ring around the inset).

If only they had hired WilkinsonEyre for that corner (starting from the H&M addition all the way to the current redo) instead of just one pedestrian skybridge.
