The amount of glass was reduced because the light they admitted could damage exhibits, which was certainly a design oversight when you're building a museum. Architects and engineers have as much capacity to be idiots as anyone else, that's why they have oversight. History is replete with examples of screwups like the Hyatt Regency walkway collapse.

No. This decision occurred during the design process. That's the point of having a design process. It's not the same as sanding down the blinding spots on Disney Concert Hall after it had been completed.

Actually, a close up look at the rendering reveals that the panels were probably never bronze to begin with. They appear to be reflecting the ambient yellow light from the bridge. Incorrectly, I must add. The bottom of the bridge is somehow illuminated by the interior lights.

The real life panels looks pretty much exactly like the rendering. You can see that they even have a sheen when reflecting light.

I don't know how you are ending up with the bronze looking black. It's certainly a dark brown, but it's not black.

From Daily Commercial News:

Once the bridge is in place, work will begin on interior finishes such as the approaches at each end of the bridge, mechanical and electrical infrastructure and the replacement of the TEC facade above and around the bridge portal.

"On the weekend that this bridge will be lifted into place, it will be between 80 and 85 per cent complete," Stewart explained.

The bridge is expected to be installed above Queen Street on July 7 and 8 and open to the public this fall.

I swear that corner requires a cleanup - with the amplified loud, obnoxious, path-blocking preachers and whatnot. It's a displeasing dump.

I think a lot of the problem i that those type of preachers and christians don't want to listen to anyone that contradicts their view. A couple of years ago I was down there after Pride and one was bad mouthing the LGBTQ+ community, someone stepped up to talk and when they didn't like what they had to say they pulled the mike from them and began screaming into it about how that person was going to hell for supporting them. I noticed in the video above that they were trying to provoke people to hit them and taking video of everyone around as wll.It relly disgusts me tay someone would treat religion this way.
