Nice. Only this morning have I caught up on reading and saw the natpost's Trudeau article. Yesterday your post went over my head. I know Im flogging a tired horse but Fahrenheit 911 is also a good watch for those trying to decide if Canada should get involved in military action against I.S.

I'm probably reading this wrong but do they take needing to raise funds as a sign of weakness in your opinion? Also I would love if you could summarize your view on John Sewell. Some earlier posts have me searching his books and concepts. Smart guy, poor mayor? Im not trolling. I sincerely respect your previous posts and feel we are over policed and that at least Sewell is not afraid of broaching the topic.

Interesting turn of events IHTWOMRF seems to have removed all references to D Ford fund raisers except of course FordFest...

Has his expensive fundraiser happened yet? I seem to think it's this Monday. I wonder if it's been cancelled so they've removed it.

Does anyone have an up to date link of upcoming debates?

John Tories and the developers.

Just catching up on the debate. Ford apparently made comment that developers are not sending donations his way. I thought there was a developer sponsored $750/person fundraiser for Ford but I never saw anything else about that. Anyone know what happened there?

Why would the developers bother donating to Doug Ford when, if elected, John Tory will give them every thing they wish for: more office towers for non-existent tenants, more condos that no one can afford.

Ward 3 is where the "nation" was birthed isn't it? Holyday's home base. I think you know the story as well as I do regarding Holyday and the Fords initial meeting...

Sent me through the looking glass again. I went hunting for the initial holyday-ford alliance. Is it that Doug Sr. was introduced to politics by holyday? Or is there more to that?

It was supposed to be on Sept. 29th. Set up by "the development community". Saw not a thing about it in the news. Perhaps it flopped and DF was actually not lying when he claimed not to be getting donations from developers. (Doug not actually lying? Cognitive dissonance.....)

I took a ride on the Islington bus earlier this week, and was pleasantly surprised to find hardly any Ford signs up on people's lawns. There were several planted in front of various businesses - for whatever reason, gas stations mostly had Ford signs up - but I only saw one on a private home. (Of course, there was a "Vote Ford!" sign up in front of Steak Queen.) From what y'all are saying, though, it would appear Thug's crack team (heh, heh) are only getting around to putting up signs now?
