I'm not sure sure. Talking to people, and looking at my twitter and facebook feed, I'm surprised by the reaction from people who usually don't follow this stuff, or care 2 hoots. It's much more "how stupid do they think we are" than "the mayor has cancer".

With the reveal yesterday that he's known it's a benign mass since May, I'd think it wouldn't take much for most to turn against him. You'd think that there must be some medical professionals out there truly disgusted at how they've been played, and that something will leak soon. After that, the media can play up to their heart's content.
 
Isn't it likely that Rob, if he were handed some kind of grim prognosis, would be inclined to say fuck it, flee the hospital, call Lisi and start a bender that wouldn't end?

I can see Thug trying to bully, as his way of "convincing" other councilors to support his whacko agenda, but looking at his past record as ward 2 councilor and co-merryl. All Thug seemed to do was to galvanize opposition against him and his plans.

Let's see, ferris wheels, waterfront floating hotels or some other crap. Casinos. Lie-barys and lie-barians and some old bird named Atwood who no one has ever heard of, autistic kids who may or may not cause a ruckus and have the police come over to your neighbourhood (like a certain family with a lot of 911 domestic calls). Generall bullying and antagonizing other councilors, the press, members of the public\citizens of TO. Anything else?

Met a guy that went to school with Doug this week. The hash dealing is 100% true. So if anything he WAS a criminal then. He also said that Randy was the real nutjob out of the 3 and that Doug Senior would bully the principal, and have ties with the TPS so that Doug could deal his stuff unhindered.

That's what I would do ( without the drugs ). A 26er of Captain Morgan would do. It would end around 4 AM in a coyote-infested area of High Park.

It writes that Randy Ford was arrested at least 17 times by the time Doug Sr. was an MPP in the mid 1990s. He has dozens of convictions, including break and enter, driving while impaired and drug offences. From Crazytown

The entire family are criminal sucmbags.

I've always heard that Randy had addiction issues too (heroin) and that he was selling hash well into adulthood to finance his habit.

That's a very good point about some medical professionals being played hard along the way. If this is all true, it's quite believable that someone would be pissed off enough to come forward. But if this is true, how would they know in May whether or not the mass was benign without a biopsy? Are we suggesting that a biopsy was performed in May to confirm? That the current dog & pony show includes another biopsy (at the taxpayers' expense) just for show? Because wow. If true, that has the potential to hurl shit at a fan that's already on the highest setting.

I have no doubt that Doug will get pounded on the 27th and I can't wait to see him in a debate. However, if Rob wins Ward 2, which looks inevitable at the moment, he's still back in CH for Ford more years, still front page news the entire time. It makes sense that Ford opponents should focus their efforts on defeating Rob in Ward 2. Doug will surely defeat himself.

I didn't grow up in Toronto, but I live in Etobicoke and have come to meet people from Doug's area. I've asked some of them, and some of them have volunteered, but all have confirmed that Doug was involved in drugs back in those days. The Globe and Mail piece was accurate. No one denied the piece. There were some people who didn't know, but I strongly believe they had nothing to do with drugs at the time, and so wouldn't know.

I think that's Krista's boyfriend who I believe is a cop (but I don't know where). And while the Ford girls have, for the most part, been apparently fit and athletic people their whole lives, I think it's this guy that's influenced their interest in bodybuilding. He must be pretty charming as it's debatable whether he's closer in age to Krista or her parents.
