Yes, have you read On The Take: Crime, Corruption And Greed In The Mulroney Years by Stevie Cameron?

Remarkable book.
No. It would probably just piss me off. I clearly had overestimated Brian Mulroney at the time, even if I never voted for him. I was quite surprised when he admitted to taking cash payments from a lobbyist while still in office.

You mean he is highly concerned about an "elected" premier (I know our system don't operate that way, but humour me) who just got a fresh mandate? Gawd, if that's what he needed to get talking points from, he'd be more desperate than I give him credit for.

Jeffrey, coming from the real world as he once did, may be starting to feel guilty about getting paid to do nothing, and so we are being graced with press releases supposedly representing Ford's 'thoughts'.

I sure hope taxpayers didn't pay for those press releases.

Is there a connection to 'Little' Dino Saracino, a New York "soldier" now living at the largesse of the state?

i don't know the answer to that, yet, but it did remind me of this...

Rob and Doug anecdata point #381502: “Our friend Paul is a dealer down in Florida,†says Rob as a way of showing there are good casino jobs. “He makes $94,000 a year…that place is hopping.â€

Now that we have a majority government, should there be a push for the Liberals to create a law to allow recall procedures? That was one issue that was discussed before the election.

Recalls have more negatives than positives. Tougher penalties on misbehaviour would be more effective.
