Everyone should read Dave Eggers new book, The Circle, which really captures how far down this crazy road we're going. But, if it toasts Lisi and Ford, cool.

And, yeah, if there's video/audio of Ford asking Lisi to get the video that would be about a slam dunk on a conspiracy charge which is VERY serious indeed. Even The Best Criminal Lawyer in Canada might not be able to help there.

Do we know if they'll be in front of Nordheimer again? Or will it be a different judge?

If it's nordheimer, he's already come out pretty clearly that the ITOs are a matter of public interest, so hopefully documents will drop that day.

Nordheimer again. My understanding is that it has already been decided they will be release the warrants. They are in the process of studying the documents to redact personal information not related to the warrants. Like they did for the Lisi ITO.

I am not sure about this anymore. They are back in court to argue if it should be redacted and/or released I think. Last time the judge ordered immediate release of heavily redacted documents, which were later released with most of the information not redacted. I think this is what will happen a-gain (to sound like Rob Ford).

Socialism doesn't take your Jaguar and give it to some homeless man. It attempts to create an even base standard of living for everyone. Socialism inherently has no problems with people being rich; only people being rich at the expense of others. Such as say, the massive growth in the wealth of the 1%, but declining income and equity levels of the lower and middle classes.

It's not anti-rich, it's anti-selfish.

In a way, socialism is as selfish as anything else, because the idea is that if you make sure that the people are at least well-fed and clothed, they won't go all French revolution on your ass. I love the people who think they if the government stops giving hand-outs to poor people they'll just go away. They won't.

Ha. Nicely stated. (both comments).
 
And there are so many contradictions in Ford's economic 'thinking' (if that's not an understatement). On one hand Ford says he wants to save the city money and create jobs, on the other, he would lay off every unionized employee if he could, and if possible, contract out the work to exploit cheaper overseas suppliers. Not to mention divesting the city of it's assets and disinvesting in the city itself. Ford would turn Toronto into the kind of place where new companies could not attract employees due to quality of life issues. Nice things, like trees, parks, bike infrastructure, cultural events etc are for elitists. He would prefer to save 50 bucks to pay for gas, chicken, or crack.
