I think Doug is absolutely fucking furious with Rob for having confessed. It made him look like a complete idiot, and Rob did it without consulting him, and avoided answering the phone to him.

It would not surprise me if we have started to see a split between the brothers as Rob realizes not everything Doug says is in his best interest.

Having seen the interview with the women, I now think it would be completely impossible for RoFo to go into rehab and remain in contact with his family. That really worries me, because at some point he's going to finally hit bottom and at that point I think the only option for him is a really really dark one.

Mom and (alleged) crack-sister both referenced how angry Doug was in the interview today. Mum said something like "he'll calm down".

Ford's mum visited his stupid decorated office on Halloween week, CTV did a short piece on it. As he was escorting his mother back through the hoards of reporters he asked them to move so his mother could get through. What I thought was funny (and telling) was when she stopped in front of one of the reporters who dared to block her path, she looked him up and down and shot him a "don't you know who I am" look, then continued on to the elevator. It spoke volumes.

I was watching the interview and his mom reminded me of Dame Edna, in more ways than one.:D

I wanted to watch, I really did, but I got through about a minute. The Fords' entire world view just kinda makes me sick. 100% undiluted disingenuous garbage, can't stand it, have no patience for it.

A lot of people are saying they feel more sympathetic toward Rob after watching that. Please tell me how you feel after he blows the media another smirky, sleazy kiss tomorrow. Every new day is another chance to stop being an asshole. I can only conclude from Rob's choices that he really, really loves being an asshole.

And that's... one to grow on.

Per the Toronto Life John Tory story it's obvious his mother thinks she controls everything, including who is or isn't Mayor. There isn't a word strong enough to describe her sort of entitlement.
 
LeDrew's interview was a sympathy piece.

people forget that not long ago he was a paid talkshow host on newstalk1010 with that bald christian fanatic.

Oh, good, the entire Ford female interview was just shown on Anderson Cooper, along with Dr. Drew's "fear" that Ford will die. Sigh.... in the meantime I got this email:

The situation in Mayor Ford's office is extremely disturbing.

I have received emails from hundreds of citizens expressing concern, outrage and humiliation at the conduct of Mayor Ford. I am concerned for the physical and mental health of the Mayor, and the health of Toronto.

I continue to call on the Mayor to step down.

I believe that tackling drug and alcohol addiction displays leadership. So far Mayor Ford has avoided dealing with his substance abuse, setting a bad example for our City.

Toronto City Council does not have the ability to remove a Mayor from office. However, there will be motions at City Council next week designed to limit the Mayor's authority and/or appeal to change Provincial legislation.

I will not let this issue dominate my time. I want to assure you that I was elected to represent our community and that is what I continue to do.
