Rob Ford's Toronto

Maybe he's selling instead of buying. There are reasons for buying off the street.

On an emotional level, some people get a rush from doing something illicit or simply believe they are invincible or above the law.

On a practical level, there's money laundering and having many dealers with small amounts to make casting a net to haul them in more difficult.

There's a new angle I hadn't heard before. Doug's hash business expanded to a larger scope.

Wild speculation aside, I can't say that I'd be surprised if evidence came to the surface that the Ford brothers had ties to organized crime.

BREAKING: @TheTorontoSun has learned that Rob Ford's sister's ex, a drug trafficker, confronted the mayor last year about money he was owed. Perhaps that's what that break in at the Ford's house last year was all about? http://www.thestar.com/news/city_ha...boyfriend_charged_with_threatening_death.html

T.O. mayor's ex-inlaw sentenced for attempted murder

"Justice Michelle Fuerst sentenced Stirpe to 18 years for the attempted murder but ordered him to first finish serving the final third of his manslaughter sentence, which expires in December.

Stirpe, who has a daughter with Kathy Ford, is now a grandfather.

The mayor's sister has a history of drug addiction and violent relationships.

In 2005, she was accidentally shot in the head by her then boyfriend Scott MacIntyre. He faced weapons offences but the charges were later dropped.

Kathy survived and the couple stayed together another seven years.

In January, just weeks after the pair split up, MacIntyre, was arrested after a bizarre confrontation with Rob Ford at the mayor's home.

The 45-year-old was charged him with two counts of threatening death, forcible entry and possession of two grams of heroin and nearly two grams of cocaine."

Mayor Rob Ford’s former brother-in-law sentenced to 18 years in prison for attack on woman

"One of the stabs cut the victim “almost to the back of her body, such that a piece of her intestine was protruding,” Judge Fuerst said.

Other wounds inflicted were a 10 centimeter gash to the victim’s scalp and excessive blunt force trauma to her face, resulting in a fractured bone in the area of the damaged eye.

A “volatile relationship” between Stirpe and Ms. Fantauzzi was cited in earlier court hearings.

In court, Judge Fuerst repeatedly pointed out that Stirpe did not call 911 until it became apparent someone else would. She also reiterated the seriousness of the victim’s wounds.

“If (Ms. Fantauzzi) had not received medical treatment, she would have bled to death.”

Ms. Fantauzzi, a long-time addict, had smoked illicit drugs before the attack, Judge Fuerst noted.

She also said Stirpe had been told by his landlord not to see, or contact Ms. Fantauzzi as a circumstance of his release.

As the sentence was read, Stirpe, also a long-time drug addict with numerous prior convictions, stared at the judge, his mouth open. When he was led out of the prisoner’s box, the white haired former pilot turned to his lawyer in a rage.

“This is bulls—.” Stirpe said. “This is a judge that I respect. She just convicted an innocent man, that’s all I can say.”

Before Stirpe can serve this sentence, he must first complete his earlier manslaughter sentence for the shooting death of Michael Kiklas, who had been in a relationship with his former wife, Kathy Ford, in 1998. Ms. Ford is the mother of one of Stirpe’s children and the sister of mayor Rob Ford.

That sentence will end in December this year.

(The Stirpe case is unrelated to a drama at the mayor’s house in January when Mr. Ford called police regarding an intruder. Scott MacIntyre, a long-time common-law partner of Ford’s sister, Kathy, has been charged with two counts threatening death, forcible entry and possession of heroin and cocaine in that case.)"

Rob Fucking Ford: Strange Man, Strange Family

"This family is, to say the least, interesting.

“Like my dad said, ‘Many are called, few are chosen.’ It’s on his tombstone. The Ford family was chosen,†he says.

In a manner of speaking, perhaps.

“Our family has been through everything — from murder to drugs to being successful in business,†he says. “We’ve dealt with the very, very poor and the worst, worst tragedies . . . nobody can tell me a story that can shock.â€

[...]

As Ford tells it, Kathy Ford’s first boyfriend was Mike, before she married Jeff and had a daughter.

After divorcing Jeff, she lived six years with Ennio, bearing a son. She left Ennio and went back to Mike, and they rented a cottage up north.

Ford: In 1998, “from what I was told (by the kids), Ennio knocked on the cottage door and Mike answered it and Ennio shot him in the head†with a sawed-off shotgun. Charges were laid; Ennio went to prison for manslaughter.

In 2005, Ford says someone else “shot the top of her head off.†Press reports suggest it was an accident; two men were charged with firearms-related offences.

She’s functioning well, he says, living with her two children and on methadone for her heroin addiction.

“Bizarre, yeah, it’s really bizarre,†he says. “We all backed Kathy 100 percent; maybe what she was doing was wrong, but you don’t just throw people out into the street for doing the wrong stuff.â€

[...]

The councillor's family was also in the news after his sister Kathy Ford, then 45, was shot in the head in their childhood home on March 31, 2005.

She survived the shooting, which was later deemed to be accidental. Her boyfriend and another man were charged.

It wasn't the first time Ford's sister was touched by violence. In 1998 Kathy's ex-husband, Ennio Stirpe, used a sawed-off shotgun to kill Kathy's boyfriend, Michael Kiklas. Stirpe was later found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 13 years in prison.

And now it gets timely. Ennio Stirpe is back in the news again. From December 9 this year:
A sensational attempted-murder case that led Vaughan’s former mayor to decry the justice system two years ago reached its conclusion Friday, with the conviction of Mayor Rob Ford’s onetime brother-in-law in a Newmarket courthouse.

Ennio Stirpe, a serial offender who was once married to Mr. Ford’s sister and later convicted of killing her new boyfriend, had been out of prison for a year when emergency responders found Angela Fantauzzi covered in blood inside his basement apartment on Vaughan’s Harmony Road in the fall of 2009.

He'll be sentenced in January.

Altogether some really weird stuff. Classic low-life shit.

But maybe Rob Fucking Ford is right. The Ford family has been chosen.

To fuck up everything they lay their hands on."

Wow, it's so crazy. I totally forgot that each of the ford siblings have some criminal, drug-related history. I completely forgot about the sister for awhile.

This family is a real piece of work.

Wait a minute!! That's the Toronto Sun's story. See this link:

Why a convicted drug dealer burst into Rob Ford's home demanding money

TORONTO - TORONTO SUN EXCLUSIVE

“You owe me money,” a convicted drug peddler screamed at Rob Ford after bursting into the mayor’s home and then later threatening to kill him.

Court documents recently obtained by the Toronto Sun reveal stunning new details about a frightening confrontation between a man with close ties to the Ford family and the mayor in his Etobicoke home early last year — an incident that raises even more questions in the wake of the alleged crack cocaine scandal that has dogged the mayor recently.

A strung out Scott MacIntyre, the ex-boyfriend of Ford’s sister Kathy, walked in uninvited through the unlocked front door of the Edenbridge Dr. house around 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 11, 2012 and began screaming about debt that needed to be paid, according to those documents.

“You owe me money, your sister owes me money, if I don’t get it, they will kill me,” MacIntyre, then 45, yelled at the mayor, who rushed to confront his sister’s longtime common-law partner.

The documents — a transcript from MacIntyre’s court appearance at 2201 Finch Ave. W. on Apr. 23, 2012 — include an agreed statement of facts submitted as he pleaded guilty to several charges.

Unfortunately the transcript does not provide any details about the alleged debt.

However, what is known is that MacIntyre had previously served prison time for drug trafficking and he was busted with dope a few hours after his confrontation with Ford.

Kathy Ford has battled drug addiction for several years.

Allegations recently surfaced about Councillor Doug Ford, the mayor’s brother, dealing drugs in high school.

And Rob Ford was recently accused of being caught on video smoking crack.

Rob and Doug have both vehemently denied the allegations and the alleged video has not turned up for public viewing.

Last year’s encounter between the mayor and MacIntyre nearly became physically violent, according to court documents.

Ford yelled repeatedly at MacIntyre to get out of his house and he ultimately left, threatening the mayor as he walked out.

“You and your family are going to get it,” he admittedly warned. “You are going to pay for it.”

The incident sparked a string of back and forth phone calls with Toronto Police.

At one point he told an officer he was “going to kill Rob Ford,” either with a machete or a gun, and that he would “off” any cops who get in his way.

When MacIntyre was arrested in a Mississauga motel room about three hours later, several grams of heroin and cocaine were found on a night stand.

A forcible entry charge was later dropped and he pleaded guilty to uttering threats, drug possession and attempting to disobey a court order.

MacIntyre was sentenced in June 2012 to five months in addition to the time he had already served and he has since been released from jail.

Amin Massoudi, a spokesman from the mayor’s office, said Ford has no comment for this story.

Me, me, me first! Take it easy, all you media types will get your chance.

I thought the Toronto Sun was the Ford brothers' ministry of propaganda?

The only thing papers are more loyal to than their partisan ties is readership. If the Toronto Sun uncovered a video of Rob Ford in drag doing lines of cocaine in a Church Street bar washroom they would post it in a minute.

Of course Sue Ann Levy would somehow blame it on the socialist loons at city hall, but you catch my drift. Ad revenue is the end game.

With the recent murders of Ford's last 2 alleged drug dealers, I'd forgotten about the previous one from last years plot.

New season starting soon. Any spoilers for what we can expect? I'm not sure how much longer they can string this out without it becoming unbelievable. I'm not convinced the producer knows where it's going ...

I think MetroMan mentioned this before. But imagine Rob Ford and the fear and anxiety he must feel every time he opens a paper or turns on the radio? This is only going to get crazier.

I want to catch the episode called "Demise of Rob Ford"

Funny how these criminal court cases that touch upon the Mayor never go to trial but end up in a plea bargain. Had this gone to trial we would likely have heard details about what the debt involved (although we can pretty well guess). At the very least it would have been very embarrassing for the Ford family had this gone to trial. Instead McIntyre got a plea bargain and is already a free man!

Hat's off to the Toronto SUN for actually doing some investigative journalism for a change instead of just regurgitating TPS press releases.

And what about Randy Ford? He's a mysterious character in all of this. He also works at Deco Labels & Tags overseeing the manufacturing aspect of it. Apparently he was charged with a drug-related kidnapping in the past.

No wonder the Ford's hate the Star. I hadn't realized the vendetta was a quarter-century old!

Don't forget about the Nazi in his family. Or was it KKK? I would love to be a fly on the wall in RoFos childhood home.
