Because every federal law comes with money earmarked for it? Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. It’s why we have provincial governments with their own taxation powers.

Besides, it probably could have been paid for three times over with the money spent on [insert judgement costs of lawsuit brought against the Ford government for breaking X contract].

Aside from all that, the province doesn’t own the buses. They really don’t have to pay jack. It’s bus owners that would foot the bill.

This may the most encouraging thought I've heard uttered by a Ford government minister since they took office. Whether it will get acted on will be interesting to see.

“The mouth is part of the body, and why it was never included as something that was covered under OHIP coverage is something that I can’t speak about, because I wasn’t around when those decisions were being made,” Elliott told iPolitics this week. “We are interested in expanding it, as we’re able to afford it.”

A welcome change from the Liberals, who de-listed eye exams and chiropracty - and raised taxes to boot.

Opioid deaths in Ontario continue to rise.

The number of opioid-related deaths and emergency department visits continued to rise in Ontario in the first three months of this year, the latest government data shows.

Public Health Ontario said 435 people died from opioid overdoses between January and March – a 40 per cent increase from the same period in 2018 when 307 deaths were reported.
