Downsview Sunrise Propane Explosion

To be fair, you should watch the unedited video. That old Italian guy was intentionally trying to get to her and was told to settle down several times previously more discreetly and politely.

Then again, Augimeri isn't the brightest mind on council and has said stupid things before. Maybe she was jetlagged, but she should have had better judgement then to respond that way on camera, even if they had a history.

Toronto has had numerous explosions in the past and it seems like the city never learns. There seems to be a lot of foul play concerning this facility.

I was in New York when I heard about the explosion on Sunday, so I guess I was lucky that it didn't affect me.

On my flight back from New York, the plane flew right over Downsview on its final approach to Pearson. I was able to snap some aerial photos of the blast site...

Really? Perhaps you can provide us with some examples of explosions of this nature.

I'll try to back up his comment, though we'll need to expand beyond just Toronto to southern Ontario, and go back a decade or more.

Adm. Beez:

You've missed at least one - a blast that levelled a stirp mall in Etobicoke a few years ago. But the point being - 1. all those examples are fairly localized and 2. most of them are domestic, not industrial in nature. It certainly doesn't support the assertion that 1. Toronto has numerous explosions like this one in the past (like one with a bang that can be heard over what, 10 km away?) and 2. the city never learns (about what?).
