    St Lawrence Market

I'm with City Painter in that I'll steer clear of trying to find a "cheap" spot in the area. I just won't mention any "expensive" bars or restaurants. The Works has amazing burgers - absolutely amazing (and the perfect meal the day after a hard night), but it feels more like a burger joint than...

    The Lifestyle Shop

Update: I moved into my new condo, purchased the storage bed at Condosize, and I love it! After shopping around, I'm very happy with my decision!

    St Lawrence Market

Was in the hood today and noticed that the Starbucks is under renovations (looks like a few are undergoing renos across town on the same day). The old Pizza Pizza building has the signs down and ready for something new... I'd love to see it torn down and an L-shaped building in it's place in the...

New Condo Inspection - is it worth it?

I know this is an old thread and I could have just started a new one, I suppose. But curious if anyone finds value in bringing a home inspector in on a PDI of a new condo. Mine will be scheduled very soon and I have heard that it is a good idea to do so.

    The Lifestyle Shop

I am months from occupancy and life has created massive delays in my window shopping plans. Thankfully, I had checked out both the Lifestyle Shop and Positive Space and while I'm leaning towards the Lifestyle Shop, I'm wondering if there are other places I should consider for storage beds before...

Market Wharf Condos (Context Development) - Real Estate -

Just got the same letter. For me, originally October and now January 21st (9th floor). I was confused at first because the letter stated Confirmed "Closing" Date, but that's the occupancy date and what I figured was the closing date they refer to as unit transfer date.

Market Wharf Condos (Context Development) - Real Estate -

Just got a letter yesterday saying that my occupancy will be delayed, but is confirmed for January. A winter move-in? I hope we have a similar winter next year as we did this past. :) Sales materials estimated occupancy to be June 2011 and Phase 1 unit holders started occupying in July 2011...

    The Lifestyle Shop

Bringing back some life into this old thread since I walked into Positive Space on King East today to (finally) give all their beds a good look. I'm moving into my new condo this Fall so I'd better get on this. :) I looked at the $2,500 model that cityboy mentioned. Although I found the...

    St Lawrence Market

Is Lettieri really gone? Because Lettieri and Hero Burger operate together, I believe. Many are dual locations. If Tim's, Wendy's, and Lettieri are out and Hero Burger and Jack Astor's are in then this is a net gain, IMHO. Even better if that Hero Burger still offers Lettieri.

    St Lawrence Market

If Tim's/Wendy's is out and Jack Astor's is in then that's a definite improvement. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants/bars, but Tim's/Wendy's always seemed out of place whenever I walked by. I will say that it's a loss to lose Tim's. Sure, there is one at Wellington & Scott which is only a...

Wow - Great pics! Thanks for sharing! That's the finishes package I chose and it's even better in practice than I had imagined. That's a real nice view of Market Lane from that unit.

I thought I read somewhere that occupancy would begin in July. Any news?

I agree it needs to be developed. While The Esplanade has a decent vibe, I think it needs some more pumped into it. What do you think? I love SLM and The Esplanade has a lot to offer, but I think there's room for more street life.

Toronto Sherbourne Common, Canada's Sugar Beach, and the Water's Edge Promenade | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto | Teeple Architects

I was here on Saturday and for a nice sunny but still relatively cool day I was pleasantly surprised with how many people were lounging at this beach. Lots of families with kids. That boardwalk is a nice idea. I noticed an elderly lady (can't remember if she was in a wheelchair or not) with some...

Never even knew it was an option. Only problem with the upgrade process is that they don't give you a list of upgrades. You have to ask about possibilities and then they do a search on their intranet. The ability for me to impulsively purchase more upgrades than necessary just isn't there! :)

Wow, pretty accurate occupancy since the sales sheets had stated June. Hope this continues as the tower rises as I'm scheduled to move in next year.

Corktown Phase 2 - Layout opinion

I was thinking the same thing. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, this is the same floor plan as the model suite and I'm fairly certain I recall that that's what they did. But it's been quite some time so don't rely on my memory. :) Personally, I like how the bathrooms are a fair distance from the...

    King Charlotte - Brad Lamb

While I wouldn't buy it for myself either, I'm optimistic about this building and location, location, location will prevail over the negatives. With that in mind, what it lacks in terms of view that huge terrace at least isn't facing a street but just buildings (office buildings? or facing...

    Church-Wellesley Village

I have an idea of where you're coming from, but that is terrible to say. There are many straight folk who make it more special in that they too are able to express their acceptance and openness of their gay friends. I won't argue that it's become a lot more commercial and that there isn't...
