At yesterday’s Building Industry and Land Development Association’s (BILD) 2026 Chair’s Dinner, the organization recognized several individuals for their contributions to the Greater Toronto Area’s building and land development industry. The evening included the induction of Myron Pestaluky and Gary Gregoris into the BILD Hall of Fame, both honoured posthumously, alongside the presentation of the Chair’s Award of Merit to Gabriel DiMartino, Senior Executive Vice President at Trinity Point Developments, and Jude Tersigni, Senior Vice President of Planning & Development at Menkes Developments.
The BILD’s Chair’s Award of Merit recognizes members who contribute significant time and expertise in support of the industry. The honour is often given to individuals whose efforts take place largely behind the scenes, helping advance advocacy initiatives and industry priorities through volunteer leadership and collaboration.
“Mr. Tersigni and Mr. DiMartino are incredible examples of individuals who go above and beyond to serve the interests of the building and land development industry,” said Jason Sheldon, BILD’s Chair. “Their efforts impact every corner of our trade. From local change to province-wide and federal issues, they are involved in steering the future of the business and I am thrilled to recognize them with the Chair’s Award of Merit.”
DiMartino was recognized for his advocacy work and ongoing involvement with the association. As Senior Executive Vice President at Trinity Point Developments, he regularly engages with municipal and regional staff across the Greater Toronto Area, representing industry interests and helping address planning and development issues. DiMartino previously served as co-chair of BILD’s York Chapter and continues to support the organization as a regional advisor.
Tersigni was honoured for his sustained involvement in advocacy work connected to planning and development policy. As Senior Vice President of Planning & Development at Menkes Developments, he has played an active role in advancing industry perspectives across municipal and federal discussions. Tersigni also serves on the BILD Board of Directors and participates in a number of municipal working groups as an industry representative.
Alongside the Awards of Merit, the BILD Hall of Fame recognizes members whose careers have left a lasting mark on the building and land development industry and on the association itself. Inductees are selected for their long-term influence and leadership within the sector, forming a group of individuals whose work has helped shape the growth of communities across the Greater Toronto Area.
“In the last few years, the industry has lost two outstanding and irreplaceable people who impacted so many of us,” said Dave Wilkes, President & CEO of BILD. “Myron Pestaluky and Gary Gregoris were friends to us all, they were industry leaders, and they were respected and fierce advocates. We miss them dearly and it is an honour to induct them into the BILD Hall of Fame.”
Pestaluky was recognized for a career spanning more than four decades in the land development industry. As the founder and president of Delta Urban Inc., he built a reputation for strong leadership. At the Chair’s Dinner, Maria Venturo of Delta Urban reflected on Pestaluky’s legacy, while his wife, Kelly, accepted the Hall of Fame honour on his behalf.
Gregoris was recognized for a career defined by collaboration and advocacy. He served as a member of the BILD Board of Directors and was an active supporter of the association’s initiatives. His contributions to the building industry and his role as a dedicated advocate were remembered at the event, with his wife, Laurie, accepting the honour on his behalf.
