two of the largest land owners in the area are currently building 6 storey parking facilities on site with retail on the ground floor. Now they are certainly not running out of parking space because the vacancy rate in the are is very high (some buildings are half empty) so the only possibe...

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Density on Sheppard east right now is higher on average than density on Eglinton East between Yonge and Don Mills. And given the properties along the catchment area, Sheppard has higher development potential than Eglinton overall.

Drove by the site today and these guys are working fairly quickly. Two drills, two diggers and a mobile crane on site. excavation for overall site is at around -1 storey. It's a large site so excavation is being done at an slopped angle along the southern edge while shoring catches up.

The ones I've been on were two car trains, can't seem to catch a 3 car one. But I seem to have the best timing because the trains that I've been on would probably be standing room only even if it has three cars, although it'll be much more pleasant standing room.

You don't need to live near an UP stop. You just neeed to work near one. The possibility that this opens is huge. People can now leave after work as opposed to waiting until the next day because they will be able to catch 7 or 8PM flights. Same thing with inbound passengers, who can arrive on...

Have you ever tried driving to Pearson from DT after work to catch an 8PM flight out, or better arrive in at 8AM from Pearson? It's not about the car, or the comfort, or the money. It's the fact that I can make it in 20min.

    Charles-Hayden Parking Garage (+2s) COMPLETE

It cost 35 to 50 thousand to build a parking space underground.. Replacing this parking garage with a development means they will need to dig 6 levels down in addition to the 4 levels that's probably already needed for the development it self. It's mostly a concern for money.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Bombardier would probably still win just because they no longer need to design a completely new design just for Toronto's special gauge, while anyone else would. Although we should put in much tougher deliver delay compensation clauses. The talks now is probably just New Flyer or Novabus...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

How would those same people would feel if they didn't need to cram into any streetcars on any day because they had lost their jobs as a residual effect of one of Canada's largest businesses going out of business? People need to use the same streetcars that they had used as a habit for the past...

I believe Airbus has over 10 aircrafts completed and waiting for the PW Engine for their A320NEOs as well. it's not a new world problem though. Development delays and supplier failure has been apart of the aerospace industry forever. The Boeing 787 was delayed 3 years 5 months before it finally...
