2015 was quite the year for development news for Toronto, with lots to report on, look at, and talk about. What grabbed more attention than anything else? We'll go through the top 20 stories, dataBase files, and threads.
Stories
Reports of tall new buildings always attract a crowd, but they aren't the only news that grabs attention in a city with so much going on. We start with how the retail landscape is going to pan out in a Toronto neighbourhood debuting in 2016, worry about our transit overcrowding situation, check out plans for the redevelopment of a heritage warehouse, consider the growth of whole areas, get both dazzled by and embroiled in the Union Station revitalization, hope for a better future for the Gardiner East, revel in the plans for the Crosstown LRT, and get tips for where to shoot the best Toronto skyline shots.
In terms of tall new buildings, the ones which made the biggest impression were Kingsett's 385 Yonge at both spots 9 and 10, updates on 1 Yonge at number 7, news on 1 Bloor West in spot 6, and updates on the Bay Park Centre in spot 4. Our number one spot, like spot 5, are compendium pieces looking at our future.
