Construction sites in Downtown Toronto take on an end-of-times pallor in moisture-laden, late-day air in this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor NiceForWhat. With golden-hour sun streaming through near fog, and a vantage point that takes in both the remains of the old LCBO headquarters and warehouse as that site waits for its modern transformation, plus the skeletal form of CIBC SQUARE's north tower mid-construction, the scene couldn't be better dressed for an apocalyptic Hollywood blockbuster. Look closely enough, and you'll see that the Gardiner appears jammed, a detail that a lesser art director might have missed.
