If it weren't for the gap in the overhead work for this new pedestrian bridge over Yonge Street, it might not be obvious that structures like this are put together "one piece at a time", or at least don't come totally prefab. In this late-day image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor wmedia, this new extension of Toronto's PATH network will extend climate controlled, grade separated walkways east from Union Station through CIBC SQUARE, and on to Backstage on the Esplanade Condos, with the ability to continue further east in the future. While a map of the whole PATH network looks like a puzzle itself, its individual components are intricate assemblages of pieces too.
