Following its groundbreaking in August, the excavation of Reserve Properties and Westdale Properties' Untitled Toronto is well underway. In a unique working partnership, 751-unit, two-tower residential condo development that will be coming to the site was designed by IBI Group, U31, and multi-hyphenate artist Pharrell Williams, and will stand 21 and 33 storeys tall on Broadway Avenue in Midtown. Also to be built on the site is the 36-storey tower of 100 Broadway, which will replace all of the rental suites that were demolished on this site and one of Reserve and Westdale's other nearby development sites.
The excavation of the pit is proceeding quickly. Rocks and concrete rubble — likely remaining in-part from the previously existing 10-storey buildings on the site — can be seen in a pile after being removed from the ground. Despite this, the majority of the excavate so far appears to be mostly comprised of a sand/earth mix, which is easily removable, speeding up the dig.

Concrete shoring walls have been put in along the northeast corner of the site, seen below partially covered with orange tarp. More shoring walls–not all made of concrete–will continue to go up along the outer walls of the rest of the pit as the excavation continues, moving towards the south end of the site. A pile of wooden slats referred to as "lagging" can be seen sitting in the pit; these will be used in conjunction with steel I-beam piles for the majority of the shoring still to come. Meanwhile, pipes are being installed in the image below to take care of any groundwater in the pit during construction.

Upon completion, 100 Redpath will come to stand 36 storeys high. The purpose-built rental will bring a mix of 200 affordable units, 165 mid-price units, and 48 market units to the area, as well as boast 16,000 ft² of amenity spaces for its residents. The 21 and 33-storey condo towers of Untitled Toronto will be situated to the east of 100 Broadway. This is the first time that internationally acclaimed artist Pharrell Williams, best known as a pop music composer and performer, has collaborated in multi-residential development design. A wave-form of his song Gust of Wind is being incorporated into the balcony design.
