Near the corner of Redpath and Broadway avenues, just west of Mount Pleasant Road and north of Eglinton Avenue in Midtown Toronto, Reserve Properties and Westdale Properties' latest additions to the neighbourhood are beginning to take shape. A trio of developments, including Untitled Toronto, 100 Broadway, and Line 5 Condos, are gradually progressing with Line 5 now pushing through its early below-grade stages of construction on the south side of Broadway, just east of Redpath.
The complex will bring 33 and 36-storey IBI Group-designed towers to the site. Construction has been ongoing since October, 2020 when drilling rigs first began work on the shoring system, and continued into early 2021, when excavation began at the site.
Most recently, two cranes have been installed in the pit next to the elevator cores of the two towers that will rise up from it. The north tower will house 504 units, while the south tower will have 420.
Also visible, P2 is beginning to take form: the complex will only have two levels of underground parking, but these levels will be sizeable as the site is considerably large. The parking levels will be topped off with a shared day care facility that will sit at the base of the tower facing Broadway Avenue.
Directly across the street to the north of the Line 5 site, construction is imminent for Reserve and Westdale's next contribution to the block, Untitled Toronto. The building's design is the result of a collaboration of Grammy-winning recording artist Pharrell Williams working with both IBI Group and U31 on the building's architecture and interior spaces. Next door, 100 Broadway is an associated rental tower designed by IBI Group and U31. Shoring is underway for these projects.
