TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

4606 enter service today on 503 based on where it was where it was sitting in the yard last night at Russell and the fastest to do it so far at 46 days.

4607 was out testing for most of the night as it was all over the place and still out at 2:30 am when I went to bed. It may enter service tomorrow and that would make it 32 days.

Edit
4608 is now tracking

4609 is at the loading dock to be off loaded this week. No idler cars with it. The idler cars for 4609 most likely went back with the flat for 4608 as well cars are stored on the siding track in the rail corridor.

Caught 4607 at Russell as well 4606. 4606 ways down track 24 if I remember the numbering correctly as the numbers are gone. 4607 looks to be on track 20 with the display screen blank compared to the other 2 beside it.

It is going to be late this year before the eastside under construction will see service again. Only pouring concrete for the north end where tack is in place

4607 has enter service on 503 along with 4606. This makes 4607 the fastest to entre service after 33 days.

4606 is doing its 2nd day of service

It been pointed out that 4609 is tag and you can see it in the photo, Never noticed it when shooting as I only jump out of the car to get some shots as the winds were raw and blowing you all over the place

4607 Have a short day and may only did one trip as it's on the Leslie Barns service track with 4606 still out on 503

Indeed! Their excuse for not cancelling poles was that some Yards are not yet converted. Still makes one wonder how they managed to drag out the conversion for so long!
which is absolutely bonkers because thats the first place they should be converting.... absolutely abysmal project management on this front. its been 10 years since the first panto line opened and still they cant get it sorted out.
shame.

4608 has started in burn in and testing and went out late Tuesday night.

4609 was off loaded Tuesday January 16

As for poles on the cars, TTC was to have the system converted almost 5 years ago and will not be done until late 2025 hopeful if they get the westside of Russell rebuilt by them. Has to do with lack of funds and a CEO not a rail fan.

4608 enter service for 30 minutes on Feb 7th on 501 and has been on 511 for 4 hours so far.

4610 was offloaded today.

4609 went to Russell on Tuesday for SWIS work.

4609 has enter service on 503 and it beats 4608 time by one day.

4610 still in the service bay. and no sign of testing yet that I have seen.

4611 was delivered to Hillcrest on Feb 18 and was offloaded today. That is 8 cars so far out of the 60 we are to get, and if they keep delivering at the current delivery rate, they will all be here this year, not as plan.

4610 has completed its burn in and testing on Tuesday and in the service, bay being prepared for service.

What was the original plan for them all to be delivered by?

What was the original plan for them all to be delivered by?
The plan called for 20 per year and to be done by 2026 with the latest being 2025. Given TB was doing more than 60 per year toward the end, all 60 could be here this year at great cost to TTC with 2025 being when the last one will show up to spread the cost out for TTC.

Will we ever see 4471 and 4478 again that have been in TB for a few years??

4611 is now out testing

4610 is over at Russell for SWIS and we may see it in service by next weekend. It has been here 20 days so with 4609 seeing service after 32 days which is longer than the current fleet took to see service. 10-15 days was the normal time it took to get a car in service with a few seeing less well a few took longer.

4610 is out on 506 now after spending a few days in the service bay. It went into service on March 5th.

All the new cars have gone back to Leslie once the SWIS has been done before going into service after a few days. The tracker said 4610 went into service at Russell and was ahead when it left Bingham and was down At Oxley St on Charlotte St. It was down more when it got back to Bingham Loop where it went out of service.

The second new car to go out of service on its first service run.
