Toronto YC Condos -- Yonge at College | 198.42m | 62s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

That is quite an emphatically stated statement. I just think they could have tried for a bit more. I agree that by local standards it was not timid, but for me that is the problem. As I said, though, the comment is meant as a miniscule encouragement for any developers who might read it. There are in fact disinterested citizens who will, unsolicited, write in to relevant actors to support ambitiously scaled projects that may face opposition.

With height and density comes responsibilities - I am not sure if said developer and architect had produced any product that compares well even by local standards, much less abroad where such a level of ask might be more common.

636 units and 57 floors is not timid in any sense.

Sorry just to clarify my own confusion, when you say 57 floors are you referring to residential floors as the thread states 63s.

Thanks.

Minus floors 4, 13, and most likely 44, and a few other silly superstitious numbers.

That's not right, actually. It is more complicated than that. Please refer to this post from page 43 for a thorough look at how many floors this building has.

Your reference is an older elevation. The height has since been revised to 198 metres.

??

That post cites 198 metres twice.

The "west elevation" drawing with all the highlighted floors is 207 metres tall. The rest doesn't matter.

I noticed that the demolition has actually begun on this site, but it was cold and I was late for work so couldn't take a picture lol

Here's some photos.

I was expecting the demolition work to be noisy, but you'd hardly know they were at it and my office is just on the other side of the lane way.
