Are they focusing on the interiors of the unit first? Because it looks like the Lobby has a long ways to go.

The lobby won't be fully finished until many of the residential floors are done. A completed lobby is usually at risk of getting damaged during the work on the upper floors. My guess is that some people will already be occupying the building before the lobby is fully completed.

I like it. The King Street front is a bit meh but generally it fits in well with its surroundings.
