Last week from the Danforth end of the Viaduct.

Looking at the video up above. Really shows the excellent views of Don Valley area from the top. I can see them knocking down the old towers next door to build even taller skyscrapers because of the view!
 
Will the curved tower have an illuminated crown?... not sure if that is what is portrayed in the renders.

Yep. Looks like 2 different developments built by 2 different builders. The curved tower is pretty bad...especially by aA standards. Looks like something you would have seen built in any suburb 10 years ago save for the limestone podium.
 
I don't know why the curved tower is getting so much hate. It's much better than your average tower especially your typical Toronto 40 story box with jazzed up balconies. It is simple but stands out. The crown is well designed and the spandrel is very well masked. They didn't skimp out on the materials either.
