I don't like the materials, but I like the brown, I think it ties into the heritage component (as much as spandrel can). Mind you brown wouldn't have been my choice. Also... That is NOT pink. I wish it was PINK. That's like "blush" or pale apricot "Portrait tone" even. Don't insult the colour pink by categorizing it with this.

There is really no point in constantly adding more generic comments about how one finds this building ugly. They appear all the same and is a waste of everyone's time to read unless something specific is said. Aura is ugly, this one is a disgrace, and Yonge/Rich is a bad name. We get it, move on. Why keep repeating what 5o other people have already said?

And considering this building is not even finished, please please don't come back and say "hey, it is not that bad" in 6 months.

I think for many of us is just the bewilderment that something this bad actually went ahead. I'm personally skeptical about arguments that attempt to explain this building's aesthetic failures in terms of either the fact that it's a rental building or that it doesn't have the funding backing other, more pleasing projects.

This comes down to me as a matter of taste--the salmon strip going up the side being a prime example. Whoever was in charge of this just simply failed to make tasteful decisions within the constraints placed upon the project. I was building more attractive buildings in Microsoft Paint in 1995.

Yeah, it's a junky spandrel tower. Lot of those around. Pink and browns are pretty commonplace too.

These guys are jewelers. Amateurs.

The pink precast is just like putting lipstick on a pig. At the end of the day nothing can save this spandrel-laced tower.
