Toronto Top 20 Under Construction List

Huh. I had just posted my list of my personal choices for the top 10 skyscrapers in the world. Five of them made this webpage, with another three from my #11 to #20 list also making it. But there are sure some horrendous buildings on that webpage.

A long-overdue update. Every entry on this list is over 500 feet in height, something which would be inconceivable ten years ago. I might be missing projects or have their current status incorrect, if so, please let me know.

^ Aura needs the new updated height of 896ft. It's now 78 floors, not 75.

^ One Bloor needs the new updated height of 844ft. It's now 75 floors, not 70.

Thanks for the update, Mongo... Always appreciated for us who don't get into the city as often as we would like...

Thanks Mongo.

If I may beg forgiveness and plead ignorance on legal grounds of certified sky-geek insanity plea - aesthetics, meet the street, cladding, convenience stores, traffic and transit nightmares aside - what north american city outside of the big 3 would kill to have this list as their "total" skyscraper skyline?

All of them.

Ooops.

Exactly, and the list is only growing in height from year to year. Rest assured 300m fans, it will come...

I believe they've started work on the Harbour Plaza complex (233m and 224m) also.. Great update!

While excavation may be underway for the whole site, only the office tower at that site is a go at the moment, with neither of the condo towers set go past the podium stage until sales targets are met. We'll just have to wait for the sales to start!

So there would be at least two years to reach that point? There should be enough condo sales here within two years for the go-ahead to be given before a halt is called to construction, in my opinion.

I'm just saying that there's a difference between those towers and the others on the list that actually are under construction. Preparations currently underway will allow Harbour Plaza to be built, but there is no actual go-ahead for them yet, and it will be quite a while before there is.
