Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 1) | 231m | 70s | Menkes | a—A

^Ah I got it twisted. Sorry it's tough to keep track of some of the trash builds that unfortunately sprout up around the area.
I have a nice view right now, but it's not the primary reason I bought the place. I bought it because it is close to my office, groceries, the market, playgrounds, splash pads, patios, etc. I am hoping the 2000+ people who move into Time&Space create even more demand for the things that drove me to this neighbourhood, no matter how it looks.

Interesting 'forest of rebar'.

From bottom pic...

...err, what are those? Or is it just stacked rebar forms being readied for something?

Edit/Erratum: Or is it just stacked prefabricated rebar cages*...proper.

Yes, they look like prefabricated rebar cages ready to be lifted into place within a form.

You don't read the news articles around here? 😀

Err...yes, I do of sorts. But the examples in said article are mostly huge. The ones stacked above are modestly smaller.

That said, from the angle that pic was shot, I couldn't tell if it where stacked rebar cages or a stepped rebar structure. The latter would be something I've never seen before...so it prompted me to clarify in an n00b inquiry. I hope nobody minded.

There will be too much of blue in the postcard skyline shot.
Too much bland as well. The gorgeous black, gold, white and deep red textures of the Financial District that used to define the lakeview are almost completely lost now to the sea of blue, green and brown of the newer, mostly blander condos along the waterfront. The ground experience will improve substantially but I wish we could have had both.

Totally. The night view will also be more spetacular but that blue/green glass everywhere is an absolute eyesore.

I think the back of the house at Red Path needs a little sprucing up.

They are painting the balcony floor edge and the ceiling.
I’m still not sure why half of the 2nd and 5th floor slabs are thicker and also not painted.
